4^th October – stay at with family in Pretoria

The flight was pretty uneventful. We tried out our new pillows (TravelRest) that Wayne had ordered off the internet and both slept for around 5 hours so we were pleased.  We arrived on time but had to then wait for around 1 ½ hours to get through passport control – this was only the beginning of issues we had at the airport. I’ll summarise them otherwise we’ll never get out of the airport:

• My luggage didn’t arrive so we had to report it missing and organise for it to be delivered to Kruger NP the following afternoon
• Long queues at Vodacom to get our dongle. When we went to pay for it, they weren’t happy that our credit card expired at the end of the month, so took a bigger deposit
• Car hire had messed up and not reserved the car we’d been promised so had to take an alternative – we weren’t happy. On a brighter note, they didn’t seem to mind that our credit card expired at the end of this month so that was a relief.
